GENERAL
Market research is the process of gathering and analyzing information about a specific market in order to make informed business decisions. It helps businesses understand their target audience, identify opportunities, and stay competitive in their industry.
A focus group is a discussion between a group of people (like a roundtable) in which they answer questions about their beliefs, opinions & attitudes towards specific goods and services.
Please reply to your confirmation email letting us know you need to cancel as soon as possible. You can also call us at 512-637-6690.
Please try to give us at least 24 hours notice so we can find a replacement, but we know that sometimes things come up last minute! If you do not show up without notifying us, your ability to participate in the future may be effected.
We keep your information completely secure and private by abiding to the Market Research Association Code of Ethics. Think Group cannot and will not ever sell or release your personal information.
STUDY PARTICIPATION
The best way to participate in upcoming research studies is by joining our database. You can do this by clicking on the “join our database” tab on this website and filling out the form. We will email you studies that we believe you may qualify for.
You can also view our upcoming and ongoing studies on the “upcoming studies” tab on this website. You can fill out any survey you believe you qualify for based on the information given.
We do NOT recommend filling out surveys for which you do not meet the general demographic information (age, location, date availability, etc.). It is highly unlikely that you will be chosen for the study if you do not meet those general requirements.
If you are selected to participate, you will receive a confirmation email from a Think Group email address (xxx@thinkgroupaustin.com).
You have NOT been officially selected to participate if you: fill out a survey, receive an email asking you to fill out a survey, or receive a call from a recruiter screening you for a study. If a recruiter calls you to screen you and schedule you, be on the lookout for a confirmation email, at which point you have been officially selected.
You are ONLY officially part of the study once you receive a confirmation email.
The location, time, date, and other information about your research session can be found in your confirmation email. Your confirmation email will come from a Think Group email address (xxx@thinkgroupaustin.com).
If you do not see your confirmation email, please check your spam folder and search “thinkgroupaustin” in your email search bar. If you still do not see your confirmation email, please call us at 512-637-6690.
PAYMENT
We have multiple ways in which you can be paid. In-person research studies will often pay in cash (if not, the payment method will be in your confirmation email). Online research studies will often be paid via Tremendous*. Some studies pay in alternative methods, which will be noted on your confirmation email.
*Tremendous is an online gift card which will be received through your email. You’ll have the option of multiple kinds of gift cards, the most popular being Visa gift cards, which can be used for most vendors who accept normal Visa cards.
If you participate in an in-person research study, then you will be paid with cash before you leave our facility (unless your confirmation email says you will be compensated in an alternative way).
If you are being compensated via Tremendous, you will receive your compensation by email 5-7 days after the study is complete. Sometimes studies extend past your specific session date, which will sometimes explain longer compensation wait times. Please call 512-637-6690 if you have questions!
Your payment email will come from the Tremendous (rewards@tremendous.com). Please search “Tremendous” or “rewards@tremendous.com” in your email search bar. If this does not work, be sure to check your spam folder.
If you still do not see your payment email within 7 business days after the study has been completed, please call us at 512-637-6690.
ONLINE STUDIES
Check your confirmation email for information about joining your online study session. The email should contain information about the platform you are using as well as any links, usernames, or passwords you’ll need in order to join the session.
We ask that you begin trying to join at least 15 minutes before the session, just in case there are any technical difficulties.
-Login 10 minutes early before your session
-Double-check to make sure your camera and microphone are working
-Make sure you’re in a quiet and well-lit space with no distractions
-Make sure you’re on a computer/laptop (not a phone)
-Verify that your first name is displayed
-Understand that your session will be recorded for research purposes
Please do NOT:
-Join the session while in your car, outside, or anywhere that is not quiet
-Work on anything else or take other calls while in the session
-Join without video or audio
